Started sometime in October 2007... With the anime at least. I had poked at the manga for perhaps a year or two before then, without knowing there was an anime based on it. Heck, I didn't know what anime was until I was 12.
I didn't have much internet access before that age and only watched on TV what was dubbed in Danish (Dragon Ball, Shaman King, Pokemon, Tokyo Mew Mew among others), this one not being among them, I found it when I started perusing the internet for the manga I'd found in the library.

Actually the whole thing started one afternoon as I got home from school, watching an old episode of Mew Mew Power that left me wondering how the show actually ended. So I suppose I have 4Kids to thank for never finishing dubbing that show because I probably wouldn't be here without it.

That does genuinely make me sad. But it is unrealistic to think everyone will be there to the end. Realistically speaking you can say several of these voiceactors and actresses are dedicating their lives to this show. Jodie was introduced in February of 2001, that's a long time ago.

The ending scene is fine with the storry of the toy protecting children and the music. Reminded me of my hometown. After ww1, my people were starrving because all of the livestock was taken to the front to feed the soldiers. One day a single goat showed up and almost everyone rejoyced by milking it , hence then the saying (literally translated) "The whole city milked a single goat". The goat became a famous symbol for the local sport union "liberty" and the basketball playing goat was the basketball team logo. The goat saved many children

Now I know what the family of gyuu-nabe restaurants Akabeko and Shirobeko in Rurouni Kenshin are named after, which is interesting given the fact that they're beef-stew restaurants😆
